Luke Garvey, MBA, LCSW

The Christian Counseling Center’s Associate Director, Luke Garvey, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a therapist with the Center since 2014.  His counseling strengths are individual and group therapy using the clinically-proven approaches of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.  Emphasizing how our thoughts, emotions and behaviors all affect each other, he specializes in anxiety and mood disorders (depression, etc.).  

Luke strongly believes that empathetic support is a vital part of the therapy experience. He trained at the highly-regarded Silver Hill Hospital, and New Prospects rehab center. His significant career accomplishments and life/family experience bring greater depth to his work as he provides a safe and collaborative  environment for getting better.

A graduate of Fordham University where he earned both a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Social Work, Luke also received an MBA from Cornell University.  He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and Social Workers in Private Practice in Fairfield County.

A native of New York City, Luke is a long-time Connecticut resident who enjoys fitness, watching ice hockey, reading, and listening to live music.
