Maria Vincent, MFT Intern
Maria is in the final phase of earning her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT, where she also earned an Undergraduate degree in Spanish. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a 6th Year degree from Sacred Heart University. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Maria has proven herself to be a dedicated educator through two decades of teaching on both the secondary and university levels. With compassion and resolve and drawing on her own life experience and professional expertise, she looks to partner with potential clients struggling with issues such as addiction, divorce and attachment, to empower them to overcome their challenges. As an emerging therapist, she relies on proven systems theories, especially the more classical models of Structural and Bowenian Family Therapies.
Family is extremely important to Maria. She lives in Fairfield County with her husband and, as a blended family, they have four children and four grandchildren, with a daughter expecting her first child later in the year.
