Who We Are, What We Do
The Christian Counseling Center's therapists are credentialed at the Master's degree level or higher. They include Ph.Ds in psychology, licensed clinical Social Workers, licensed Marriage Family Therapistsand licensed profesional counselors. All are committed Christians.
They believe in, and are dedicated to, Jesus Christ, both personally and professionally. They rely on Biblical principles, are committed to prayer, and pray for their clients even when they do not pray with them.
Constance Lawrence, PhD, founder and director of the Counseling Center, holds a doctorate in psychology, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
The broad range of competencies found in the staff enables them to offer an extensive array of counseling services tailored to each client's needs.
Clients come to the Center with many diverse issues. Among them are anxiety, depression, stress, grief, attention deficit disorder, domestic violence, addictive behavior, eating disorders and trauma recovery.
The staff also helps clients with wellness issues such as marriage, family and parenting concerns, improving one's self-worth, anger management, healthy assertiveness, social skills, employer/employee-related issues, and other personal life crises or adjustment problems.
The staff works with individual adults, couples, families and children. Throughout the year, the Center offers free screenings, by individual appointment, for depression, anxiety and alcohol and drug dependency.
