Willie Brevard, LPC
A licensed professional counselor (LPC), Willie joined the Christian Counseling Center in 2006 after a 30-year career as an educator and guidance counselor, a role that enhanced her skills as a therapist.
Willie’s specialties are Anxiety/Depression, Child/Adolescent issues, ADHD, Anger Management, Grief/Loss, Relationship issues, Parenting, and Faith-based Counseling. Her approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, with the initial visit devoted to gathering background information, the client’s explanation of the problems, identifying what the client hopes to gain from therapy, and confirming the client’s commitment to the therapy. Working with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples and families, she helps explore their issues to move in a positive direction, body-mind-spirit.
Willie earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master of Science in Counselor Education from the University of Bridgeport, and Sixth Year in Foundational Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
